The NWCFA learnet earlier this week of the sad and sudden passing of Maurice Naylor from Dwygyfylchi, near Penmaenmawr following a traffic accident in the vale of Clwyd a week ago. Maurice had been an active Referee for many years within the NWCFA area and was both heavily involved in the set up of Girls football in Llandudno Junction plus being an active Committee member of the Senior Football Teams.
Our obvious thoughts and deepest sympathy during this difficult time are with Maurices' immediate family and close friends in their bereavement and as a mark of respect, the NWCFA would request that all matches within the NWCFA observe a minute silence prior to kick-off in his memory.
With a shortage in match officials currently evident, the NWCFA has began the latest recruitment drive in the search of new Referres by arranging Referee courses commencing next week in the Penllyn and Anglesey areas.
